Around 51.2 inches, according to planetcatfish.com. Mine's not anywhere near that, though.

Haha yeah, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep him forever. I've got to enjoy him while I have him, because I didn't know how big he got when I bought him. I was looking at shovelnoses (Lima, or tiger) as a replacement for him.

These are the real stuff. Only big catfish I ever has was my channelcat. Had to let him go on my cousins d farm when he was a foot long though. What's wrong with Ictaluridae? Noone seems to keep any of the US catfish. Not knocking your fish, but my caddy was as good looking as any of them,

Well I dunno for sure mate, hard to tell as juveniles. I've never kept n. macrostoma but were I to hazard a guess I'd say p. punctatus as they look very much like the tiny one's I'd gotten some years ago, here's the pix I just found for what it's worth…
