i now have about 100 billion snails in my betta fish tank. they are eating all the live plants and pissing me off. how the **** do i get rid of them with out hurting my fish or plants?
A couple drops of copper will kill them all, you'll have to remove the shells though...if its a betta only tank, just swap out the water dumping all the snails out, add new water and Prime or some dechlorinater and put the betta back in, problem solved ~Trent
Puffers are too mean with any fish not of the same species, trust me I know from experiance. If your tank is large enough for a second fish I would go with a Clown Loach, those things are good for eating snails, mine cleared out an infestation in my planted tank and has keept it snail free ever since.
boil the gravel, copper additives or remove the betta and save some of the water. add lots off salt to the water and let it sit over night, clean it out really good in the morning and set it back up. or get a loach
