Bio Blocks Large ones advice!

Anybody know what these are. I just bought 2 of them used on Ebay!

I was hoping there were the awesome 23,000 square foot per block. They measure 9.5x9.5x4.5 and I got both of them.

Any advice would be awesome thanks in advance!

Dish washing sponge? Soak it in water and see what happens.

I sure hope so. I saw some going for 67.00 dollars each new and always wanted them! MarinePure Bio-Media 8 x 8 x 4" Block they also make a 9 inch block and since these were used I was thinking they expanded a little bit.

I will and pray thats not the case bro since i did pay 20 bucks each. Since its ebay and it was sold as ceramic I hope things are cool.

Wow I researched those filters they sound awesome. The guy selling them said it was from a 500 gallon indoor pond he had many years ago. Hope he had an expensive filter I been feeling lucky these days anyway.

I hope so that's why I bid the last minute of the auction hoping they were those dream come true sponges for bacteria growth.

There a lot of people in Thailand using a similar piece of media in overhead filters. Just a bunch of tubes stacked into a chamber.

If that is Momotaro Bakki House Media, it is very hard to come by. There are now a lot of Chinese imitations of Momotaro Bakki House. It is readily available in the UK through koi vendors, but I have only found one source in the US. I inquired in June 2011, and just last week got some.

I got 20 kg of the stuff for my sump which has yet to be set up.

Majestic Koi has a limited supply of Momotaro Bakki House.

Wow 44 lbs! Great pick up. The key is the static charge the media creates from the bakki shower effect (flow and crash).
