I love it, no MFK thread is complete without someone advising someone else to get 2 AQ110's.

Though blowing 80$ on a filter thats not needed would suck. Get your water tested. Is the tank fully cycled? If it is i bet your amonia will be 0 or close to it. Then the filter will be a waste of cash.

Yea Im still testing at 0 on both I do weekly water changes for the nitrates/ammonia everything stays in check fairly well. My big concern was the fact Im used to koi, havent had a lot of experience with large tropical fish. I only have vested $40 in the two plecos, the pacu and the two oscars. Got most due to rehomeing needs.

Then you need more water changes or bigger tank or less occupants. Another filter will be a huge waste of money for you.

If your water is testing fine, why would you need more filtration? Sounds like your setup is working fine. If you start to see a spike or cloudiness, then i'd worry, but if everything is stable and 0,0,0 I don't think i'd worry much.

That stock will outgrow a 125g THIS YEAR. Forget extra filters & find a new home for both pacu & both plecos. The oscar should be fine as long as you dont fill up the tank with abunch of other big fish...
