So I got educated here on MFK that bio media is alive and needs to stay wet and have oxygen and circulated water that is hitting it but..
what happens duing a power outage?? no oxygen(spray bar/air pump not working), and no water flow.
The average power outage around here is like from 4~7hours but would the bacteria on the bio media die during that time?
and do i have to re-cycle the tank again....? what's going to happen to all the fish, what if that's the only tank that will hold your fish?
also, i'm planning to buy a tank set from craigslist but most of them come with a filter(established). what should I do during the trip to my house? which will probably take around 30+minutes. but will probably take an hour+ for me to set the tank up and have water in it for the filter.
can i just put them in a bucket(w/ aquarium water)and have a battery-powered air pump bubbling above them?
