With an fx5 you'd be fine with 500-700gph. How much turnover are you looking for?

Aros......you can turn huge sums of water without making a ton of current. Just use multiple outlets or long spraybars. I turn nearly 7000 GPH on my 240 mainly for mechanical. Two Laguna MaxFlo return pumps plus an Eheim 2262. Flake food will still sink to the bottom.

Correct the 55 will be the sump the tank is a 240, it's a drilled tank so it's already set up with two return lines one on each side, I'm hoping to be able to use a pump rated at around 1200
