Water changes/salt mix and food will cost more than the electricity!! Like they say.....
"If you have to ask you can't afford it"!!!!!
i used to have a 29 gal bio cube, but got rid of it, i kno the expences of setting it up and keeping it maintaned. i was just currious on the electricity cost
+ live rock, live sand, and rock to replace the bio balls will cost the most, probaly even more then the tank its self haha
--> Is the nano custom tank i posted worth the extra money over stock?
i would probaly end up modding the lid for a 3rd fan for extra cooling ( Maybe not sure ) ( im an electrican, i under stand electricity and circuits so please dont go into that subject, thank you )
or maybe a retro light kit down the road.
but just would like to get a tank going
ALSO:
the ''Refugium Light'' ( option on the page i posted )
is that in the 2nd compartment in the back of the tank? how does that work? would you recomend it?
I had a reef set up in my AP12 and I sold all my coral and angler because the tank was kind of boring. Thats why I changed to a planted tank with a piranha.
I would recommend a biocube 8 if you want a nano reef. Go on nanotuners.com for ideas on upgrading the lighting
i also have a Piranha, the tank set up is nothing to special some drift wood and simple plants, but when income tax comes hes getting a new light and equiptment and some plants (but this is competly off subject)

-> i love small reef tanks, i could stare at them for hours! espically one on my computer desk! kuz im always here!
