Hey my system has been setup the same since day one, six years ago.
With a constantly growing collection I have gotten some reads as high as .5 for ammonia, 5 nitrites and nitrates as high as almost 80.
pH is naturally stable at 6.4ish.
I have an aquaultraviolet ultima II 2000 filter and 57 watt aquaultraviolet UV classic. Also an inline red sea canister filter with biomedia water polisher. This is for a 1440 gallon stingray pond and the flow rate is rated at 75 gallons a minute. someone said i should use a bioreactor? someone said add on two more red sea canister filters and add more bio media?Just wondering which way to go with this.

An ultima 2 seems to be a decent filter. A bioreactor is very similar except it uses oxygen along with the bead media. You will get alot better results.

I run a system of similar size, similar bio load, and I'm not sure all my bio would fit in a 180 gallon tank. IF all yours fits in that little drum, I'd second adding some more...... :)

i have two red sea canisters that i plan to fill with bio media. would that be sufficent?
would it be more cost effective to put together a homemade bioreactor setup?
