Mine had the bigger biomax with holes but then again i got my AC110 about 3-5 years ago. At the time i also got some seperately boxed bio max and those were the smaller media.

i just bought two boxes of ac biomax yesterday for my 110, it was the smaller solid ones. the bags are about half the size of the larger hollow bags of biomax but you get two bags in a box. size wise the smaller solid ones are about half the size of the older larger hollow ones. so i would assume you're probably getting about the same since you get two bags.
well to be safe I went to petsmart to find the fluval kind. Guy tried to sell me pre-filter saying it actually was biomax but fluval just changed the name of it. The price label really did say biomax though... Told the guy he was wrong and now the hunt continues for fluval biomax. If I can't find any locally I'll just go with the smaller AC biomax I guess.
