I keep mine at 77-79F (25-26C)..they do just fine with feeding every other day (or third day)..i noticed that they eat more when they have growth jumps, not when temp goes over 80F (summer)

Raising the temp. to 82 plus just raises metabolism and actually shortens their life time because of it i believe, i dont have any scientific article to back this claim, but usually a higher metabolism speeds up the rate at which they expel energy and die faster.

I keep mine around 76-78
