At least I think so. The hung quarters were all that was left and even then the birds got to it first. So what was visible was a mostly furry patch, but I recall an actually tail and a generally more dog-like structure as opposed to a deer.

Not in my backyard, but I went out with my mom to find some chicks. These first is endangered Least Bells Vireo. A subspecies of Bells Vireo. My mom has been studying them for over 10 years. The other is Coast Pacific Flycatcher. Another rare one.

We have coyotes here too, people set traps for them behind my house. At my old house they would howl all night. One of them killed a rabbit under my moms car.

No nest yet, but this seems to be a nightly thing here at dusk.
Few day old babies. Those hairs are actually their first feathers! Also sounds like we have an early bird to the nest - a house finch is building in a Natal Plum. We can hear them chirping and chirping!
New hummingbird nest - that’s 2 this season. Same female!
