Birthday surprise!!! Now what do I do?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Get a large piece of driftwood, stick some anubias, java fern, and java moss on it, they are slow growers but will look very nice after a year. May be very simple, but also helpful if you want to move it to another tank.
Yup, that would be my first suggestion. Big piece or a couple big pieces of drift wood.
Ideally, go to a nice beach and get your own. Lots of choices and it's fun!

Tractor Supply Co. (TSC) has a number of stores in Ontario at least; I wish they were here in Manitoba as well. Peavey Mart is here and is very similar.

@ fishhead0103666 fishhead0103666 are you talking about pool filter sand or sand blasting sand? I'd love to find black pool filter sand; sand blasting sand is ground up coal slag, nasty sharp-edged abrasive stuff and often leaves an oily slick on the water surface.
Ahh yes, forgive me for that, I forgot to say that I was talking about black blasting sand. I’ve never seen black pool filter sand, just an ugly beige color.

With bichirs in a 75? Not good suggestions. Rams = dinner and Uaru get big. I would go with mild mannered cichlids like a pair of blue acara.

ok could I maybe sneak some giant danio in with the acaras? and MatteoTheEnder22 MatteoTheEnder22 I really like the archers but to get them around here I would be paying 40-50 dollors canadian per fish plus close to 100$ shipping
