hey guys...

i have myself a single male salvini that is 3" in a 75 gal tank.

he is agressive as hell.....

what would you put in there?

You can put any of the usual centrals, festae, gt, viejas, firemouths, and so on.
Just make sure they are as big or bigger.
And MOST important you must take the salvini out and rearrange the whole tank.
Then put them all in at once.
Good luck

hmmm thanks,

i have tried the exact thing you said. no luck.

he will kill anything, even if i disorientate him by taking him out and re arranging. he killed a 5" synspillum too....

put a tiger shovelnose in with him problem solved

Sounds like you have yourself a single specimen tank... you could try the "overstock" approach. Not really my bag of tea at all but putting a bunch of aggressive cichlids in there of comparable size could work. That's as compared to just adding one other fish, which is never going to work with a highly aggressive fish. You don't have a ton of space in a 75 though.

Or add a female same size or slightly bigger.if you do that, I would also add targets.3 Silver dollars, or maybe a male con

Dithers. Silver Dollars would be good for a bigger tank. But for your 75, I would add 20 or so giant danios.

Festae are NOT Centrals.

I agree with the "overstocking" idea - it works every time.

You say you tried adding other fish - did you only put a few in at a time? That is why.
Put him in a 10 gallon tank, put other fish in the tank, and then add him later.
