Today i was in a real bad mood(kids and wife totally pissed me off all day!!)So i went to my LFS(as stated in another thread)as i walked in the door i hear another customer thanking the clerk for the fish he ordered last week and was just picking up today.After being told no so many times that they could not special order me fish,this really pissed me off!!I walked up to the manager and just went off on the kid!!Asking him if he knew long i had been a faithful customer and how much money i had spent thru the years there,well this kid(who i did kinda have a friendship with)looked like he was about to pee his pants.Finds out the customer who ordered the fish was one of the clerks botfriends or something like that and it was his 1st purchase there ever.I was so angry that i could hardly talk,well i told the manager that he could take every fish in the store and stick em up his butt.As i stormed out of the store i bumped into a fish food stand and knocked the whole thing over.Well 3 hrs later i get a call from the LFS,i figure they wanted me to pay for damages or were banning me from the store,but it was just the opposite i was told anytime i wanted to order a fish they would and i would even get an employee discount(wich i am not an employee)But i am confused,i got so mad that i vowed never to go there again,but all the other LFS around here suck!!Plus i am embaressed.What would you do??:screwy::confused:
 
Apologize to them
They probably realize that they pissed off a loyal customer and wanted to keep your business.

If I was in your shoes I would give them all an "I'm sorry" and turn down the discount part of ordering fish.
 
Wow dude you have anger problems. You dont mess up someones shop because they wouldnt let you order fish.

Maybe you should go down there and say "sorry I was having a bad day" or something like that.
 
I'd apologize and offer to pay damages for the fish food stand. If you have them order fish for you, turn down the offer of a discount unless they totally insist. Worst part for me would be dealing with what I said to the kid. Not bashing you though, just my 2 cents.
 
I would rather pay for some of the food damages and say, sorry, having a bad day, and explain thier wrong doing in that they did not order fish for you, yet did to a 1st time customer. Playing favourites they are.
 
I agree with most of the posts above, apologize for the bad day, offer to pay for the fish food display, and tell them you'll order fish in the future but the discount is really not needed. Just in my opinion..
 
I think the fish discount/special ordering is a minor part of the problem.

First, I'd apologize my head off to all concerned. If you find that your anger is affecting your marriage, kids, job, and yourself to a great degree, I would consider some therapy.

I don't mean this in a critical way, seriously. You're obviously not a bad guy, since you posted here for help! I'm just saying there's a better way to live, for yourself and your family. Kind of a long, hard road--but worth it. This kind of thing can't be written off as a bad day.

This kind of thing cant be written off as a bad day? have you been sniffin airplane glue? EVERYBODY has bad days, and you must understand that. It's not easy to tell who is having a bad day by looking at them, but if somebody gives you an earful then chalk it up and dont take it personally, they might be steamed! makin a bad comment could turn a non violent person into your killer. you never know, so dont push their buttons.

As for the local fish store you were @ Dovii, I would definately make ammends and apologize to them. knocking over a display sucks, if its broken see what you can do to help repair/replace it. Let them know that you meant nothing personal towards any staff, you were having a terrible day. Also thank them for allowing you to order fish through their doors. Its a privilege, not a right every customer has. I would not accept their discount, as it is a fish store and that is how they make their money. Being a specialized pet store and dealing only with fish, they do not see similar profits to petco or other chains. Their advice, their merchandise, and the quality they hold above petco/petsmart are good reasons to stay loyal and keep them in business by giving them your support. If you go out of your way to show them respect, they will respect you and treat you well.
