Bizarre color change

It was difficult to get a pic of her other side but here it is.

What's going on with my P? Just woke up like this. Hope she is fine. Water is great, she is about 15" and 1 years old. It's only 1 side.

Nerve damage is usually the culprit. She might have bolted and hit the side of the tank real hard.

She may or may not. Some folks have reported their fish dying soon after showing those exact symptoms.

She is acting the same so far. Chasing her buddy around. I'll keep watching. I pray it's nothing. Thanks for your help.

She looks fat and sassy. And healthy . keep an eye on her it might just go away, hope for the best

Yup that’s most likely what happened. I had a azul jump out of the water and hit the glass hard and half it’s body went black. Few days later it was dead.

What’s the verdict here? In fishing, mahi-mahi are most likely to display the sudden break from “lit up” to dead, and it is caused by acute nerve damage when gaffing. Did the pea survive? I doubt that darkness will ever go away if so
