Black and Green together

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Wchich company will be the most proper for my Green? Unfortunately buying Asian Aro in Poland is almost impossible and one Aro in my tank is quite not enough...
Does anybody has any experiences in keeping black and asians together?
Thx a lot 4 all remarks.

you are aware that his footprint is better than most 300s right? its 8 feet x 2,5 feet x 2 feet..

I know the recommendation is 48" for a motoro but seriously, how many 30" motoros have you seen on this site? most people here keep them in 180 - 220s and do you really think he will have a hard time selling a motoro that wont fit a 2.5 feet wide tank? :D ;) I'd be pretty happy to take that of his hands :D

and yes, there is a possibility your green can get rough with your blacks..
Bertha? Big Mama? All of frank's motoros? They're all over 3ft including the tail.

yes, but since you know them by name (names that suggest something big) I'd say they aren't really common..

not arguing with you or anything but if this is his first time trying motoros, what are seriously the odds of them reaching 3 feet before they die?

well, if you keep it well just like ANY other fish, then ALL motoros can become 3' plus. O and all the ones i listed are just the REALLY big ones, the ones with a disc diameter of close to 3' , theres plenty which are smaller but are still 3' including tail.

I can tell you one ting u will need more then one Fx5 for that tank. I keep 3 asian + 1 silver + 2 motoro rays in a 380g tank and i use 3 Fx5 + 2 small 104 that can be used with UVC.. These fishes grow big and eat like a horse = loads of **** in the tank

Couldn't have said it better.

I have just bought second filter - Eheim Professionel 3 designed for 1200 liters. I hope it will be enough.

Is it possible to buy 5-7 Asian Aros (For me and my friend, rather poor quality-lower price:naughty:) and bring it to Poland (Alive:naughty:)?

Will it be a problem to join other Asians with my one?

good call, I would take that filter over any other filter any day! runs quiet, swallows LOADS of filter media without protest and will when full pump as much as a full fx5. My favourite filter of all times.. may I ask what it costs in poland?

uhm.. with these kind of questions you would want to turn to a vendor. there is a section for that to.. the guys ships from malaysia to sweden so I don't think poland will be a problem..

that is a hit and miss situation, I hear of people that cant mix them if it would save their life and others mix with no problems at all.

for better facts I'd pm Koji, rocky goldy or some other vendor for prices/and or advice.

good luck to you, and btw, upload some pics of the tank and stuff!

Yea I am not sure you would want to go through all the trouble with acquiring the import permits and CITIES paperwork. Its quite troublesome of youve never done it before and you have to wait about 8-12 weeks alone before the import permit is processed.

Best bet is to go through a broker. arowana.co.uk would be the closest one to you.
