Besides a black looking really nice at a young age and not having the drop DE effect what are the other benefits of black because to me it looks just like a Silver at adult and which one would you prefer? Thank You for your time

you can tell the difference when adults.. but i've seen a 24" blk before in person.. and as all South american arowana get bigger and older.. they all get ugly and deformed...
But blks are nice when young.... and yes.. they are rarer...

To me they definitely do NOT look totally the same when fully grown, mainly because of their coloration. But i like BOTH!
