black aro color

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The blue tinge is just part of their juvenile coloration. They grow out of that around a foot or so. They still have a slightly different body color from a silver, but unless you keep them side by side (like me) it would be hard to tell.
Yeah, black aros will lose that "penquin" look after they've reach about 10" or so??... they will get a bluish/greyish color tinge on the body w/ pinkish indigo color outline on the fins. Personally, I prefer the black aros colors over the silvers, but that's just me... All aro sp. are awesome! :)

Happy keeping and enjoy!

How big is your tank?? & Stingray?? Thank's

Those are actually 2 different black arows that I've kept in the past.

1st pic and 3rd pic are of the same aro... (20"+, kept in a 125g).
2nd 'middle' pic was of another black... (about 15" in the pic, housed in a 240g). That blk also grew up to 20"+. Couple other old pics of her when she was abit bigger... (from the 2nd pic). :)
