How long does it normally take a black aro to eat? I got him Wen. He ate two ghost shrimp that night, but hasn't eaten since. There are still a few ghost shrimp in the tank. I've thrown cut up nightcrawlers in, live black worms, freeze dried bloodworms and krill and pellets. He's been swimming around the bottom part of the tank a lot too.

Thought you said you researched these fish? There are hundreds of threads with the same question. It may take a few days or even a week for it to eat.

Why don't you get off my back already. Is that all you do? Patrol the forums giving people who concern about their fish and trying to learn a hard time. It's really getting old. I couldn't find anything about them swimming around towards the bottom of the tank.

Sorry don't read my posts then:nilly:

I'd say keep an eye on it if its just sitting near the bottom. And my Jardini took about a week to get on pellets so just play the waiting game

i would do a small water change.. add some garlic oil or aquarium salt according to directions on box.. and let him relax.. try and feed him.. if he does not eat take out all uneaten food and try again tommorrow.. may take awhile.. but garlic will help with appetite and some aquarium salt and water change will help him relax and feel good.
