Black aro problems...please help me!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've often found blacks slow to eat after being moved to another tank, though my current one seems to be an exception! Keep at it and try the pellets first, 5 days with no food is nothing for a healthy aro.

+1 on this.

Also an Aro swimming low in the tank indicates it's stressed and looking to hide, tanks too small or its getting bullied. Maybe once you move it out of the QT tank it will do better :)

try just keeping the light off and wait it out. My guess is it's probably stressed from the move.

I would just get it into the regular tank as soon as possible and then deal with the issues. Why is it in the QT tank? Do you have other stock that you are protecting from disease transfer or do you not yet have the regular tank?

Hi keepers, thanks for so many replies.

Updating:

I don't saw my aro eating nothing until now but I think that is possible that she is already eating because my feeder are disappearing in a relative high demand and I don't think that my payara is eating so much. Sadly I just can't confirm this no matter how many hours I spend in front my qt.
She is still in the middle section to the bottom of the tank but she is a little more active right now.
My tank kept the parameters. I don't did a WC in this weekend because everytime that I put my hands near the tank she stressed alot. My temp: 82,4F.
Just to remember: she was in a tank much littler than my qt (no more than 10 gallons). She isn't in my display because i'm reforming my apartment's floor. It's absolutely impossible move anything to my display until the next month.
I put some plastic plants and alot of top swimming feeders. Let's see.

Should I perform a wc?
Should I move her to another tank? My payara never touch her, and to be honest seems that the aro is the boss.
Should I increase the temp?
Should I pray?

Thank you all. Sorry for my poor english

One more thing:

She was in a dark sump. I'm not using lights (just natural) but it's more bright than her previous house.
