Black Aros.

I've owned 1 jardini and 2 silvers in the past. Now I have a 16" black and a 30" silver. I definitely like the colors and the abscence of any drop eye in the black. From what I've seen so far they have similar personalities. I've only had the black for a few months.

I've owned Jars and Silvers as well. I really like the color of the blacks. I am thinking of buying a Leichardti when they come in season again.

I've only seen juvenile black's in person. Can you post a pic of a sub adult or adult black. Aren't they a little more testy than silvers but not as bad as jardini's?

So far all I've kept is silvers myself...
Actually I had a baby black many years ago, but some friends kid got into the tank and killed him. R.I.P.

kept a few aro's: jar, silvers, green, and my current 13" black is by far the meanest sob i've owned... just a personality issue but apart from that yes id agree he is by far my favorite aro!

Here's a pic of my 13-14" Black.

He look's so much like a silver. I notice the fin's are a little darker. Other than that is there anything else that makes a black a black and a silver a silver?
The reason I ask is cause I just picked up another lg. aro and his fins are so much darker than all my silvers. Kinda made me curious? The previous owner don't really know much about fish. He said he had it since it lost it's egg sack but he also told me the iridescent shark I picked up off of him was a bala shark.:screwy:

I believe their bottoms are thinner (from top to bottom) too. A silver looks alot bulkier.

Yeah. I think they are a little longer, but the main difference is the colors. I don't have any good pics of mine.
