Black Aros.

I still regret selling my 20"+ black aro ~6 years ago, probably my favorite fish I've kept, and I've only seen them for sale once since buying mine. I've got a silver now and its a cool fish, but there's just something about it, like its a consolation prize for not being able to get a black. I'd give my left nut for another one!!

My black used to have the most vibrant red lining on the dorsal and anal fins. It was so beautiful... but has since lost most of the colouration... i'm assuming this is due to the red aro being the dominant one in the tank. could be wrong though... anyone know why?

I wish i could get a black... I like my silver a lot but blacks are much better looking.

I have had Jars, Silvers, and now my black. He is around 15 inches now and is a killer fish. He always comes to the front of the tank when I am around and isnt afraid of anything other then people in red. So far he seems to be much more chill then my previous aros, which I am not sure if its because he is a black or if he is just a great fish. My favorite is when he circles the hikari sticks and will not allow ANY other fish in the tank eat until he has got his first mouth full. Freakin awesome!

has anybody ever seen an adult black? i hear they basically turn the same color as an adult silver. i still want one though, plus no drop eye.

I know Judy(Drgnfly829) has some 20" Blacks and they look like my 14" just bigger.
