Hello, I have problem with my arowanas...

I have a 255 gallons tank with rays and 3 black arowanas (2x18',1x17'). Additionaly, a few months ago i bought 2x12' cichla temensis.
For about a year everything was great, arowanas tolerated each other but for a last few months they became very agressive toward themselves.
During the night everything is fine and they swim closely together but when the light is on they divide tank into 2 districts. One of the arowanas is dominated and forced to hide behind the woods. Its district is very small.
Due to this situation I have to feed dominated arowana after dark when the peace in tank is sustained.

Have you got any interesting suggests?
Does anybody has similar problem?

iv had a similiar problem, they were peaceful for quite a long time then suddenly started to fight,i started to increase on feeding so it calmed them back down,my problem was solved by feeding more,i guess as they got bigger there appetite grew,GL to you

What do you mean about p.bass. You suggest that bass can be a reason of my situation. I is not good company for b.aros?

He's suggesting the P Bass may be eating faster than the Aros and possibly taking some of the Aros food. Your Aros may be hungry even though it seams your feeding them enough causing aggression. So Yes the P Bass can be the reason for your situation but it has nothing to do with the P Bass other than they eat like pigs!

I have an idea. I will give abot 50 live fish and i will fully feed p.bass before. If live fish will not decrease agression i will have to try to seperate p.bass for a couple weeks in other tank. What do you think about it?

3 aros you are going to have aggression you should have a minimum of 5, 6 is better 7 is more ideal to spread the aggression & minimise territories

You actually have experience with this or is it just something you've heard? I know what my three large SA arowana do, yet that's not going to prove anything since arowana communities are completely unpredictable.

I gotta agree with Hao's point, you aren't seriously suggesting that two more large aro's be added to that ever increasingly crowded 255g tank, are you?
