I am posting a pic of my black 18 inch arowana and a jardini that was sold to me as a platinum. I dont think he is, but he doesn't look like other jardinis that I have had in the past. Does anyone have any idea if he is a white phase, or if im just looking at a regular jardini? The black aro I am just posting to show off. :woot:

Looks regular to me.

No offense, but it looks like a regular jardini to me - albeit one without much colour on the scales :D ;)

How big is the jardini - is he not bashing up your other fish yet?

Hes almost a foot and hes doing ok with the other fish so far. Kills the hell out of some crickets though. No offense taken, It is interesting that he doesnt have much color. I had another jardini that got to be about 16 before i sold him, and he was much more spotted. hmmmmm

to be very honest... the color doesnt seem to be lighter than a normal jardini.

and this isnt any form of unusual color either.

Nice fish! :)

I saw a Aro they called blue Arowana in a shop here in Norway.
Is that the same as Black Arowana

They priced it more than 500 dollars

blue and black aros are the one and the same.

do not fall for such nonsense from LFSs'....

could it be that thats the price range in your country? How much are the black aros going for??

Well.. The shop also had a Jardini about the same size prized 100 dollars.
Thats about what the Silver is usually prized.
So I thought it was expensive with 510 dollars for the Black...

for some reason all the blacks that you get into the UK at the moment are labelled as blues and are stupidly priced i am sure it will probably be the same for mainland europe.

as for the jardini it looks like a normal jardini too me.
youre black looks very nice
