Black arowana pricing?

Was wondering what an accurate LFS price on a 5-8" black arowana is in New York? One of them is asking 250$. I think thats a rip off.

i know a baby cost $80 that's about 3-4" i not sure about the size you mentioned...250 i would say is about the price.. where you usually shop in the city?

Then don't buy it. Do you think stores operate without trying to make a profit?

I think that might be a tad high but not by much.. Around 10" here in Seattle they go for $250 "when you can find them"

I go to brooklyn's china town on 48th street and 8th ave. The chinese lady was very nice. I was asking how much she could knock off if I trade in my 14" silver aro. She told me she would take only $50 dollars off. So it would come to $200. I may be stingy but I was hoping to pay somewhere around $150 with trade in of the silver.

at a lfs in CT they are selling tiny(2.5" maybe) black arowana for 40$.. they were so small last time i was there was on sunday the 20th

that would be awesome if it wasnt such a long trip.. cant guarantee its survival for such a long distance.
