ok so i might have a terrible question
but is there a difference between a black aro and an African aro?
nice aro btw

actually a really big difference. Africans are filter feeders. If you use the search function youll be able to see the difference with pics.

thanks guys....it was his old aro mates that were picking on him that I sold to a member on here about 2 months ago...hes just not healing as fast as I would like and i cant seem to figure out why. Raised temp, added salt, melafix, and nothing is working. I thought about cutting the fins like some people to on there asians to even it out and grow back in properly just havent looked into it to much. Hes still my favorite fish had him since he had his suit.

Sometimes the fins heal real fast other time they seem to take for ever. My youngest black had a chunk of it's top fin missing for what seemed like months. Then suddenly it started to grow back and healed fully within a couple weeks. I would not go the fin cutting method, but lots have done it.

Yea I know I don't want to add that stress I was just thinking about it because I've never heard of someone ding it to a silver or black.

your other two are doing good, one of them is getting more agro by the day, I had to separate it from my black today as a matter of fact- but as we know, its always a roll of the dice...
are the bass in the video the orinos from the other tank? they look good with the black- I didnt see the temensis in the videos either, or did I just overlook it-
I wouldnt cut the blacks fins either, you stand a good chance of completely loosing his outer ring color for good- as far as changing the water quality or chemistry, it would be very difficult to keep your fish in better conditions than you already do, so I think your patience will eventually pay off- the only other possible thing could be that you have a bass or something else that pesters him in the middle of the night when the lights are down

Thanks sir!!
hope everythings going good for you.
I can probably guess which one is starting to get agro LOL :D Id like to come check them out soon if that would be possible.

Yes those are the o's from the 30 I moved them about a month ago. I took the tem to my brothers 110 for a while so i can fatten these guys up a bit and give them more room to grow.

Patience is the key i guess. There havent been any new nippings on its tail all the cuts are solid now just not growing together yet. Hopefully my random bala shark doesnt get all agro and start messing with it LOL.

youre welcome over anytime! I told you that!
the bala really could be the one doing the nipping, I think you only had one- he wants to shoal naturally, and the aro is the closest thing he has, if it is the bala its not out of aggression, hes probably just trying to shepherd his shoal-
if you want to do some fin clipping, chop off the balas fins, thatll slow him right down! Im joking, thats cruel, if it is the bala, dont cut off his fins, just flush him down the toilet!

LOL ruthless....

expect a call from me soon. I passed your cross streets a couple times in the past month just havent had the time to stop by.
