Black Arowans hard to keep?

I was told that you have to have prestine water because they are more sensitive than Silvers.

I would keep a baby silver in pristine water also, personally the only real difference between silver and black aro babies is the price.

Is there anyone here with hands on experience?

Yes I have raised a few blacks, here is a thread on one I did a couple years back. Finally!!! I lost that one at about 9"(jumper). I currently have a couple of blacks, a 13" that I raised from 2.5" and my 25" black I got when it was 11".

I find them much more timid and picky feeders when compared to silvers (smaller ones anyways).

Black usually is more distrustful and it much harder to taming in my opinion. This is because most of Black are wild, Silver not.

hi, i was wondering, how many black arowanas should be kept in a 240 gallon ?
