Not all black bass need to be kept in 240gal tank. Some of them are smaller than your average LMB and SMB and better suited for life in the smaller tanks than LMB, spotted, SMB and shoal bass. Even the world record redeye is just about 5 pounds. However SMB, LMB and spotted bass are most common black bass species in United States than these four less common species have limited native home range.

there are 9 black bass species and a few hybrids, Iam looking for the ones on the list because they are rare and i think they would be neat to keep if i can even get any of them

Don't be afraid to try a redeye rock bass, they are real fun fish to keep and when big, eat like pigs. Honestly they kind of remind me of NA version of the Oscar.

Off topic, yea, but she is a festae, a SA cichlid, Also known as a "Red Terror". You have to be careful when you buy from a store though because there is another species that when young looks like a festae called a urothouamis sp.. that is very commonly listed as a "red terror as well."
Shes still quite young not even a year old, doesn't have all the colors yet, but I plan on breeding her when she is older.:naughty:

As for the fish you are looking for MST.. Good luck, just pick out something you like and can keep. I don't care much for litte rockbass, but when they put on some girth they are fun to have they can eat almost anything with the bighead they have for being a smaller species.
If you have the tank try a smallmouth, they can be quite personable from what I understand.
