I'm going to test my phosphates. I think that's a lead cause of algae growth.

I just tested my phosphates using an API test kit. They were a 10/10 I'm going to look for something that can lower phosphates at my lfs

Its not a phosphate issue. Bba is a light vs co2 and circulation issue. If your light intensity PAR output or duration is to high and or long. It will cause it. If You have no pressurized co2 with that light and not a balance of nutrients or plants are doing poorly due to nutrient deficiency. It will allow it to take over. If you have pressurized co2 but poor distribution or circulation in the tank with the above light concerns it will cause it. I've had higher phosphate then you have now and no issues with bba. Research some of the quality planted forums and you will find this. Check forums like the Barr report. The planted tank. Aquatic plant central. Estimative index dosing has proven over abundance of nutrients are not an algae cause.

I actually removed all my plants from that tank because it was getting bad. I made a bleach and hydrogen peroxide solution diluted in water. I let the rocks and driftwood soak in it for about 5 min. Took them out hosed them off with a garden hose and scrubbed them down and then soak it in regular water then hosed them off again. The tank cleared up dramatically

All black beard algae has been eradicated. For those who want to here how i did it let me know

I had about a 10 gallon storage bucket filled it up with water and created a hydrogen peroxide and bleach solution. Took all rocks and drift wood out and let it soak for about 10 minutes. As that was happening I vacuumed the gravel as well as a 50% WC. After everything was soaked in the solution I took it out and rinsed if off using a gardening hose. The scrubbed it off using a toothbrush. Couldn't find anything else lol. After that soaked again in regular water for 20 minutes and rinsed off with garden hose again. Took me 4 hours but it was worth it. I've been adding a little flourish excel and jungles algae control since then. So far so good.
