By looking at the pictures it seems that black belts are a very slow growing fish, I am right?

Take a look at the 11/23/06 picture and the 10/31/07. In less than a year it shot up quite a bit. Once it gets some size onto it slows down like all cichlids but it has a pretty good growth spurt before that.

Just came across this photo of the bb, thought it was kind of neat. :)

Nice fish. May i ask what your feeding them?

Sure, here is a list of some of the foods that I feed the tank. I buy a bunch of food from www.kensfish.com and then mix them all together.

HBH Oscar Show
Kens Premium Sinking Bits
Kens Premium Super Color Crumble #2
Kens Premium Cichlid Mix
Kens Premium Floating Cichlid Pellets 5.5mm
Kens Premium Soft & Moist Krill Xlarge 5.0mm
Kens Premium Aqua Stable 9.5mm Sinking Pellets
Kens Premium Cichlid Sticks

I also feed Kens Premium Flake once a day.

I also feed the following once or twice a week.

Kens Freeze Dried Krill
Kens Freeze Dried Tubifex

Wow, i thought i purchased a lot of food. But it seems you feed a nice variety. I've been feeding mine the same for years. Maybe its time to switch it up. Thanks
