i say not only is it pure..but it is perfection... i wish i had been as lucky.. the stock i bought mine from genetically speaking is awful... ragging looking fins.. and not from nipping just the way they were from the beginning.. that fish is going to be gorgeous as it matures.. wait until you see those gold irridescent eyes..

Thanks for all the info. The fish is about 4in total length. I just found it wierd that it never darkens. It was very stressed when I took those pics, my trimac is chasing it all over the tank.

Wow really? I'd better hold onto it then. I thought I had an ugly duckling! The guy at the LFS gave it to me. He just gave me a rose queen that i'm trying to nurse back now.

I couldn't agree more. That is an amazing BB. Also the belt may become more pronounced with age.
