hi im actually going to get a couple and try breed them if possible. has anyone ever breed them, the tank size is a 40b is that good enough or should i go bigger maybe a 55.

did you see the ad on craigslist also?

ive read that a single specimen would do fine in a 20 long, so im guessing a 40B would be adequate for a breeding pair

The 40 would be good, but the 55 would be better. The 55 would allow u to keep cleaner water and introduce more fish. More fish to interact combined with cleaner water would give you more chance of success. This species grows notoriously slow when the water is not immaculately clean.

@night - wat ad on craigs they selling calvus

@web - thanks i was planning on throwing them with my frontosas in my grow out

[These are "Wild" specimens! Selling these guys for $100 per pair. These are a very, very, cool strain. Please check out picture below of an exact pair for sale. Sizes on these guys are 2.5"- 3.5". When replying please leave your name and number. If none is left I will not reply. Thank you. ]

If you search 'calvus' you'll see that he has other color morphs available, such as the yellow and the white, for much cheaper.
