My male never stops beating up my female. He is just a weee bit bigger like maybe 1/6 inch. Its been 2 1/2 months already since they got together and are not breeding!! Seems like im having difficulty on breeding them lol. I think its because when my male is 1 inch long and my female is 2 inch long, my female constantly attacked the male so now he is taking revenge lol
my male only beats on her maybe 2 weeks after free swimming fry. Then I think he wants more. On my second batch I moved him and the fry to a separate tank. let the lady get some rest. I will return male after about 2 more weeks and then start over. I currently have the first batch in a 20 gallon. this second are in a 10 gallon. I will move the babies when my 3rd batch of fry are free swimming into the 20 gal. Hope the other fish deal ok. If they eat them or kill them it is survival of the fittest. Hope to get someone interested in taking a few on craigslits at some point.
