I need a few posts, and I'm not overly obsessed with aquaria these days, so I'll add this to this Crappie thread:
As I said I never succeeded in getting any of my three crappie to eat dead or prepared food. I managed to supply them with all the nightcrawlers they could eat. But therein lies a problem. During those periods of time when all I supplied for Slab was worms, I eventually noticed a decline in his health. Long story short, you must provide as wide a variety of food as you can. He survived well for four years on an assortment of nightcrawlers, gardenworms, shiners, tuffys, fatheads and various insects & small fishes netted/trapped from the river.
Succeeding at feeding prepared food would probably give a huge nutrition advantage, so it should always be attempted.
Question, is there a way to modify posts after they go in?
