Ya, Freshwaterpredators text me and said he tried the play sand it was a night mare for him as well. I think I will be steering clear of it. I do think I am going to try the 50-80 grit blasting media. FWP mentioned mixing green gravel in with black sand, I may give that a shot as well since I am going to be using my 55 for a grow out tank till I can get a larger one for a pair of GTs.
I am going to look around but I heard Pool filter sand wasn't to easy to come by up here in Alaska so I may be stuck with using LFS for aquarium sand for my 40. I think I'm going to try to go for the natural look on my 40b with the Salvini. FWe will see though, I am going to check out a few places.
