black ebjd

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just lost my ebjd to whatever this blackness was. My ebjd turned very dark, almost black and started acting shy, hiding in the back and not coming out for long periods of time. Eventually, maybe a week later, he grew this huge stomach that looked like a balloon. Within the course of two days the skin on the stomach seemed to rip and he died. I'd start treating him for parasitic or bacterial diseases right away.

0 ph to ?

jk

mine did the same thing, but mine was darker in colour was like it for about a week...didn't eat, was very shy and then died...mind didn't have a bloated belly though

Bolly belly, darken color, not eating or even pale blue color to the point where its green. are all signs of the EBJD's internal immue system failing and sadly.. dying...

I've had a total of 5 EBJDs that i've kept so far.. and all died.. EBJDs are fish that are highly sensative and if water permaters are even slightly off.. or a spike in PH.. will lead to death..

Their nice fish.. but' i've given up on them because i can never get any healthy genes.. I have encounter some home breed EBJDs and those were very healthy.. but pricey..

Anyways.. For your EBJD.. the best u can do is to keep doing water changes.. make sure there isnt any stress and us GARLIC GUARD, or Garlic juice.. i'll stimulate fish's appetite.. (Hopefully)

Thats the best u can do...... BLK color EBJDs can be recoverd. to normal colors again.. but eventually EBJDs are weaker than regular JDs..

I have one that is just darker than the others. Always has been, every ebjd I have kept looks different. Did it just turn black?

I'll show u...

This is the longest surviving EBJD i've kept..

Day one..

In a matter of 7 months.. my EBJD not only DIDNT grew a single inch.. colors turned twice.. from light blue to very dark dark blue.. and then light blue color.. then this pale green blue..

Within another 2 months.. this fish died.. 9 months i've had this fish.. :( And then it suddenly died.. stop eating.. there were no stress at all.. but it just died..

Some fish have short lifespan.. others have a far longer one.. But most EBJDs have bad genes.. I hope you'll have better luck on EBJDs than i did..
