I recently found another gar honey hole loaded with black florida gars. These are all blind. What happens down here in Florida is that the myan cichlids, aka false red terrors are so thick sometimes out of the year that they eat the eyeball's right out of the gars. Some of these gars live to be very large as I have personally been seeing. All the gars have black slime coats so I know they are TRUE blk gars. At first I thought what the heck, and left them alone. But now as many as im seeing I was wondering if any of you would be interested in Blind black gars. They are really cool. Im only asking $50.00 ea for the fish, They are all blind, no eyeballs!! if you guys want some let me know. I find 1-2 a trip, and ill start bringing them back to quarintine if theirs interest. Heres a pic of the one I caught on Thursday night. Let me know if you guys are interested in chain pickerals as well, as the black gar hole is loaded with the chain pickerals and bowfins. All are instock at this time :) Thanks John

Isn't an Alligator Gar, not a Florida?

Edit: Well, looking at the body... I'm not sure... but the mouth definitely looks like an Alligator to me... maybe I am wrong!

Oh, okay, then his mouth would be way bigger at that size if he was an Alligator Gar. Sorry! I have a half-blind Florida, and I'd say the only issue I've had with him is that he refuses anything but live foods. Have you tried to get these guys onto pellets with any luck? It'd be something to check out. Otherwise, they look great -- their color is awesome.

nice gar,id get them if they had eyes, hard for them to eat in my tank w.o eyes

interesting. id like one but im not sure how it would do with my others since it has no eyes. im gonna have to think about this one

Wow that is really interesting! Have you ever found any with eyes? Kind of sad but awesome that they are still living and doing okay. I mean they look kinda skinny for a gar but I have never caught one. So maybe they are all pretty skinny if wild caught? Great find though! I will have to think on it too. I would be interested in the bowfin though. How much would you sell those for? And how big?

how much are the pickerel??? size???
