wow 9 pages and no one would think that the bad eye might have something to do with the black color? JMO but it doesn't look like a black gar.

it appears to be a melanistic gar. not super dark but noce none the less. not caused by the eye IMO

I had a couple of spotted gar a few yaers ago that were really dark, almost black.

no!!!! they are rare!!! i want a xanthic florida and a croc II gar but its just not happening! y u ask?? BECAUSE IT IS RARE!!!!! they pop up rarely!! that is why they cost so much!!

i know there rare but i did not mean a vendor that sells them i ment a lake were populations exist
