black ghost eith oscars

hi, will it be fine to keep oscar with black ghost, if bgk is about triple the size of oscar at the time of intoucing them

it really depends on the oscars personality, i have 1 oscar who wouldnt hurt a minnow, but i have a nother who will pick on a pleco twice its size....its a role of the dice

i put my african brown knife in with my red oscar........they were fine swimming together and everything........next day i woke up and he was dead ...........i dunno if the knife killed him or it was something i did................

It's one of those things- personally, I probably wouldn't do it, because ultimately, the oscar is more aggressive/territorial- and more capable of really damaging the ghost-, BUT if the oscar is small, and isn't accustomed to live feeders, it might not develope the aggression.

oscars are like ppl with their personalities. like the rest of the ppl said before, all depends on yur oscars, try it early in the morn after feeding and then watch them the whole day.

I would do a 25% at least water change as well as change the environament.. Flatten any gravel out that has been dug.. move ornaments around.. As to settle initial aggreasion from Oscar. Also feed the Oscar harty.. I usually throw in around 20 feeders when adding a new fish.. But I also don't add such dosile fish either. so i would do the above.. They should be alright after that..

For the most part Oscars in general are more eating machines than aggressive. Causewhat ever fits disappears.. LOL but if they are crouded they will hurt things...

Try it. Get a juvie oscar and let it grow along with your BGK, and it will POSSIBLY work. Be aware and ready to get the oscar out of the tank, though.
