In search of Leiarius
would these catfish be able to be housed with Black ghost knifefish here are the names of the catfish and max sizes:
Tank/Pond 1 List
4 Ictalurus punctatus (channel Cat) 36 inches
2 Megalodoras uranoscopus ( giant rapheal cat) 28 inches
1 Leiarius marmoratus ( achara cat ) 32 inches
1 Leiarius pictus ( sailfin pim ) 24 inches

Tank 2 List
4 Bunocephalus coracoideus ( Banjo Cat) 6 inches
2 Agamyxis pectinifrons ( Spotteed Rapheal) 5 inches
1 Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps ( Sailfin pleco) 18 inches
1 Pterygoplichthys scrophus ( Rhino pleco) 11 inches

This is for future reference to see if i can keep a black ghost knife with these catfish,
and the two future tanks will be big enough for catfish and tankmates.

so no one as opinion or facts on this,??????!! :irked:

You could put them in either, but the Ghost Knife needs to grow before you put it in the pond. I think it's common sense that you don't put a five inch fish in with one that's thirty-six, regardless of species.

yah knew not to do the size difference was just worried how a healthy adult bgk and fully grown catfish would do together.

I think most of those Cats are fine, but the Channel Cat will grow over 20"-30" on captivity and with a "thin" fish like a BGK that usually grow around 16"-18" in captivity, it may try to eat the BGK especially if the Cat is in the 30"+ range.

tank 1 is a bit risky... the BGK could be eaten... tank 2 is fine though...
