i have a pair of bgks in a 55gal... hoyo12 has a bgk with an african and i belive a zebra also...

There are some here that has luck keeping multiple BGKs together, but it's usually not recommended. Since it's just a 90g, I'd stick with just one Knife.
well i went out a got an african knife, the lfs didnt have any bgk but the 2 african knifes they had were a really nice silver not the brown i expected, i ask can i keep 2 because they had the 2 africans in a small tank (maybe 20gallon max) and they were fine, but I still want a BGK but obviously not if there is going to be an issue with the 2 fish
Africans can be fine with each other as long as they have room. I would recommend more than 2 to spread out any aggression that may occur. They are the less aggressive of the Chitala species and are found in loose shoals in the wild. So keeping them together should be okay.
