Hi buddy, it's a fish wholesaler out of Miami I met.
I was thinking I would have the cash on hold for 30 days while they try and find them.

Yeah, it's an interesting conundrum, because the ornamental fishermen don't seem to actively target these less common knifefish species. Rather, at the times of year that they are abundant, I believe they incidentally catch some and keep them to sell. The problem (I believe) is that there is enough demand from a few Japanese exporters that they buy up almost all of the stock, so that there haven't been enough exports to really establish a market in the US.
This is just my take..would love to hear from someone that knows more about the industry.

I know I been searching for rare knifes for many years. Last I saw was on WW forum many years ago when a half dozen large bgk 15"++ came in along with a few 12" Hasemi.
That Hasemi pair I missed out on ended up going to a good home, there are a few videos on YouTube of the rockstar that bought them!

I'd be hesitant to put any money down until you knew they had the fish in hand.

This Rockstar 8 years ago it looks like picked up 6 of them I think along with a giant mega black ghost knife all imported in the same shipment!
