black ghost knife fish and jack dempseys?

i have a 2.5" jd pair in a 55 and i was thinking about adding a black ghost knife till its large enough for my 125 . i know people put clown knives with cichlids but will a ghost knife be ok?

I think it will be a little risky! I used to have a breeding pair of them and put a 8" ghost in the 75g I made sure there was enough hiding spots and they seemed to get along until feeding time! They were relentless on not letting him eat!

my pair arent as aggressive toward other fish. i had them with smaller festaes and some oscar that were bigger and they all were pretty good together.

Bgk are more timid and peaceful fish and should be housed with other fish with the same temperment. Not saying it wont work, but definatly a little risky.

the one i wanted is bigger then them by atleast 1.5" maybe 2"

I'd say try it but definitely keep a eye on them! Mine were temperamental so that might have been why they were like that. But definitely keep an eye on them they can't defend themselves very easily!

I figured it will be ok till they spawn. What imma do is put some 1.5" pvc pipes for cover.
