catfish aside i worry about the Polyterus' they tend to be...chewy?...mine used to live in the tank until i noticed him chewing on my other fish...idk if he was trying to eat them but he would go up bite down and almost chew then leave them alone

they will be fine if the knife is bigger then the bichirs..
