Black ghost knife in a 125g??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Hey K krichardson you've kept p afer, what are your thoughts on tank size?
Hey,while I have no experience in keeping BGK my old afer is pushing twenty inches in my 180.

I’m not sure about the others but I know fire eels are a no go.

I have a 125g with two oscars a common pleco

Thank:)

your 125g is practically fully stocked bioload wise when these fish reached 10”+. If you can do at least 80%+ water changes every 2- 3 days, then go ahead, add more.

if a fire eel is a no go, I don’t see any other large eel working. You can try but , you’re going to have think about what you will do when things go wrong, especially with cichlids.

oh I was just thinking a well know youtuber dwdarius had one with pbass oscars red devils and pike cichlids he made a whole video on how to keep BGKs with big cichlids so I was thinking I could get it small raise it in a diffrent tank either by its self or with my dels get it hand feeding or taking food from tweezers and I know it would hide alot so during feeding time i would go to it and target feed heres the vid
It works because that is a 350 gallon aquarium..

ya true M MaDMatt and thebiggerthebetter thebiggerthebetter any idea if a black spot would work with the stocking? we talked about size earlier but not tank mates thx guys!

IDK much about BGK. Got my first one ever as a rescue about 6 months ago at 8". It lives in our growout 240 gal and I never see it except when feeding once in a while. It pursues pellets (and maybe fish pieces, IDK, didn't see) with a drive and purpose.
