Black ghost knife with a hole?!

I wouldn't use salt with BGK's
The salt was recommended for half the tanks volume, I'd assumed that was precaution for the BGKs lack of scales? I'm no expert, that's why I'm pointing it out, in the hopes someone can educate me about it. :)
 
convict360 is right about bgks and salt. They are scaleless and don't tolerate salt too well.

I've had bgks before and dosed with 1/4 - 1/2 tsp per gallon or 1tsp per half the tank size and got away with it. I watched the fish for an changes and got away with it. I've done it before for sensitive fish. If there was an issue i'd do a quick wc. The safe thing is to not use salt for other hobbyists.

In this case clean water and nitrates less than 20ppm should clear it up.

yeah my nitrates are through the roof because of my filter
