silver dollars will probably piss you off. They are a lot better at finding food than bichirs. Or maybe my delhezi is just defective...

I'm not too sold on the SDs yet, but they are a pretty decent alternative. I don't think it would make to much of a difference for the bichirs, my SDs won't touch the cichlid and growth pellets I feed my bichirs. They might try to eat the cut up worms I put in though.


I don't think your Del is defective, bichirs have to find food mostly by scent.

I Thot of you today kUz I went 2 a fish store and they had a bgk that was like 14" it was massive! Does yours ever lay on it's side or does that mean it is sick?

Well, to my knowledge, BGKs will only lay on there sides when they have "given up" trying to find a hiding spot they feel comfortable in. This may not be true in all cases, but that is what I have heard and experienced.

thats prolly what it was kuz it was in a clear tube, and there was really no other decor so it seemed a bit scared
