Black Jardini?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have a 4" baby black Jar. I got him at 1.5" at a LFS. It was almost pitch black compared to the other Jars for sale. My Leich almost looks albino compared to him. LOL

How much did he cost?

ive seen a number of baby jars over the years which are considered black/blue in color .. all seem to lose there color when there bigger .. the blue/back color variety is from further up north as there is a color variety from different regions .. blue/black, golds, reds and normal colored jars... yet to see an reds in real life

$29.99. I don't think the LFS noticed or cared about the difference. I'll try to get a pic up later. His color has changed slightly though. It's a mixture of black and gold. Like the scales on the top of it's back is all black, and the scales on the side are almost all black with a touch of gold. Pretty unique. I've been trying to tan the fish with natural sunlight too. I've been told by a few people that it helps with the coloring.

As if tankmates didn't need another reason to be scared of Jars...now there's one with stealth/cloak mode...

ROFL It's the Darth Vader version of the arowanas!

Surprisingly this little guy has been tankmate friendly. My Leich is surprisingly aggressive. It should be the other way around, but I've never had a super aggressive Jar, and I've had many. I also have a 18" Jar that's a big puppy.
