moonlight LEDs provide pretty good results, but i only use them for occasional observation; my ghost cats hate regular blue [red&green] LEDs, but they are much more active when the moonlights are on. it's pretty neat to see the difference. the moonlights also help calm my sturgeon after light's off before all-light's-out, and the viewing is much better than blacklight~
