yep, st. paul. once i get the new display set up i'll def get some corals for the set up. i just have to get the lights and everything settled first. as of right now i just have some 4' basic strips lights for the tank. i am looking at some t5's and led's for the new tank. after all that is finished i'll be by.:D
 
I have black sand in my reef and wouldn't do it any other way. I use Estes' Ultra Reef which is silica based but it has a polymer coating to prevent brown algae problems associated with other silica based sands. Here is a picture of the tank.

nice tank. i don't think i will do any different sands in my salt tanks after seeing my tank with the black sand.
 
Ya, there is something about the black that makes the colors pop.

After dealing with what I had to deal with last time though there is no way you would convince me to go back, especially with how clean I like to keep my sandbed.
